At lunch time, I watched large excerpts from the new video that will be released in response to the DVD, The Bible Vs. The Book of Mormon. I took notes, but I won’t spoil the show.
You will recognize your favorites on the video: John Sorensen, Dan Peterson, Brant Gardner, and Kerry Shirts, etc. And all this time I have known Kerry, I had no idea that he was on the research team for FAIR. That Idaho Falls turkey!
Kerry introduced me to everybody, even Lou Midgley.
Btw, sitting behind Dan P., I saw Brant’s new book, Second Witness – Analytical and Contextual Commentary on the Book of Mormon, soon to be released to the public.

I apologize, but if I toot my own horn then it comes across as arrogant and gratuitious and bragging, even though I am like that – GRIN! We have much more coming out as well. What they showed was the scholars’ version of the DVD, the Deseret Book version (about 45 minutes) will also be out soon. It was fun and humbling to be able to participate with all those real scholars. Me? I’m just the lil ole Idaho “Backyard Professor.” But then again, it works, so I go with it………
It was great to see you at the conference. I hope everyone treated you well. I wanted to introduce you around because it’s NICE to have a good hearted non-LDS preacher amongst us, questioning, wondering, learning, and yes, even teaching us a thing or two or three or ten. I appreciate all your comments on the conference as well. You, of course, are always welcome, as is everyone else, to come to our conferences…..

How was it? Any good?
The DVD? It is outstanding. I don’t wish to appear to be self-serving, because it is outstanding thanks to the real scholars, Peterson, Tvedtnes, Welch, Gardner, etc. I was just riding on their coattails……..
