My preparation for this Sunday’s thanksgiving message has led me from Psalms to Genesis, back to Psalms, and then on to Hebrews. I look forward to the time of exalting God on this Lord’s Day. There is so much to be thankful for in America.
How can we as a people harden our hearts?
But here is again a side question for LDS that has been bugging me, today. Which chief deity of all does the LDS Melchizedek priesthood, fundamental to church life and authority, point to?
Or does it really matter to you in your thanksgiving and worship?
Thinking of heart issues . . .
Jesus told us to pray to Father in Heaven.
On a side note, Jeff Lindsay has interesting material up that might be of interest to you.
God the Father, as I feel I have been instructed by Christ himself in the New Testament.
I worship God the Father, in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
So am I the Christian radical here in the corridor, that in seeing all the worship and prayer and thanksgiving offered to Yahweh in Scripture, I feel safe to do the same?
Am I also the radical in maintaining that there is no way on this green earth that I would step into the job position of the Melchizedek High Priesthood described in the NT?
I thank and worship only Yahweh, who can fulfil this post.
Guys, tomorrow is going to be a time of glorious worship to the High Priest, Prophet, and Most High King of all.
I want to make a loud shout right now, just thinking and anticipating this new week. 🙂
