Ok.
The alarm clock woke me up early this morning. I spent the first five minutes figuring out who am I? and where am I?
Oh yeah. I’m Elon Todd Wood, living in Idaho Falls, ministering in Ammon, Idaho among many LDS.
And my wife suddenly tells me, “Todd, Happy Birthday.” On December 13, 1969, I was born in Idaho Falls. Around three weeks later my wife entered into this world from the same hospital.
Eventually, this morning when I logged on to HI4LDS, I realized that e-friend, Jacob J., a sharp engineer in Oregon, has given me a birthday present. He has named a personal blog after me, “Heart Issues for Todd Wood.” Wowzers.
At first, I was speechless (still trying to orient myself). Secondly, I was laughing, enough to almost wake up the neighborhood. But thirdly, when I started reading his post, I got very quiet again. He asked a question that I forgot about. And I am sure he will ask more questions in the days ahead. At times, I might not get to the questions because of lack of time. And sometimes, I might give stupid answers to the questions on “Heart Issues for Todd Wood.” But please gauge everything I say with the scripture itself, for I am just learning. Certainly, I have just as many heart issues that need explored as the faith of my LDS friends.
(Sidenote – Jacob, are you trying to make me famous? Probably not the motive. But you have got my attention. If you do make any money off the blog, send me 50%. And you can redirect any hate mail that comes your way to me as well. I am sure I could use the paper to floor a potato cellar.)
I will put this brand new blog link in the sidebar.
And as I remember three other weblogs of interest, I will highlight them in the sidebar as well:
ICare (evangelical, once previous LDS)
Summa Theologica (LDS in dialogue with evangelicals)
LDS Focusing on Jesus Christ (LDS in dialogue with evangelicals)
First thing on the docket.
Would Jacob please configure the blog commenting section to allow for non-blogspotters like me? I am the dummy, mind you.
Todd,
I am not trying to make you famous, I am trying to ride the coattails of your already existing fame. Maybe some will rub off on me. I will take you up on your 50% profit sharing request as that only seems fair. If your name is in the title of the blog, you really should get half, I can’t dispute that.
And, Happy Birthday! My timing must have been inspired.
I think I found the right setting Todd. Let me know if you still can’t comment.
You know what that is a sign of Todd, happy birthday!
Happy Birthday, Todd. Many years!
