All is not well in our community.
On Friday, someone committed suicide right on a church’s front doorstep near Temple View Elementary School.
It fills me with grief. I am praying.

I just now heard.
I tried to access the oline IF paper, but had to register, and didn’t feel like it. What’s the story?
The newspaper would not disclose the affiliation of the church building (Which really no church affiliation desires their name in the limelight).
Neither did the article go into any detail about the history of the one committing suicide on the church doorstep. (I am thankful for this as well.)
The news of yesterday simply dealt with all the children at Temple View who might have seen the body last Friday morning. A school letter was sent out to parents, notifying that their children could have caught a glimpse of the awful scene.
Greg, it always hits me afresh. I am no stranger to the suicide scenario. My childhood bestfriend in I.F. took his life. People in my extended family have taken their lives. It has happened among the relationships of those in my church family.
It is gut-wrenching awful.
“It is gut-wrenching awful.”
Yes, it is.
My condolences; I am so sorry.
