Yes, I do hear those words. I think of what the rebel Jesus pointed out in front of the temple at the end of Mark 13. It is an abomination for any religious system to require giving as a part of one’s hope for salvation. The temple and all what it stood for used that poor widow.
The men of the temple were leading that poor widow away from the true Temple.
