Read the fine print, Todd. He’s saying “justification by faith” can be read in such a way so as not to conflict with the Apostolic Faith. It can also be read in a way so as to conflict, as with your buddy, Calvin (Do you REALLY believe in Unconditional Election, Irresistible Grace, and especially, Limited atonement?), especially when the formula is “justification by faith ALONE”. James, OTOH, inspired by the Holy Spirit, writes, “….a man is justified by works and not by faith alone” and “faith without works is dead”. Dead, as in nonexistent.
“By their fruits ye shall know them.” – Jesus
Unconditional Election? Yep
Irresistible Grace? Yep
Limited Atonement? Hmm . . . it depends what passage I am in.
