2. As a church family on Sunday mornings, we are working through the last paragraph of John 15 which continues into 16:4. A theme of persecution.

3. Thanks, I enjoyed that one. It reminded me of one of my all time favorite poems by Mrs. Charles E. Cowman. I googled and found a copy of it online.

   It’s the part that starts with “take heart, o weary, burdened one, bowed down beneath thy cross…“

4. I love this quote from Amy Carmichael! I read her bio last year and was deeply touched and profoundly moved by her passion for Christ .

   Do you have the book Streams in the Desert? It is written by L.B. Cowman. The book is a devotional. I absolutely love it!

6. Hi Gloria!
   I used to, but I don’t know what happened to it! I absolutely love that book. That book ministered deeply to me during a very difficult period of my life. Some of the concepts in that book have been literally life-changing.

7. Twenty years ago two books deeply impacted my life toward Christian missions:

   1) A Chance to Die – a biography of Amy C., written by Elisabeth Elliot

   2) the complete and unabridged Journals of Jim Elliot
