I love Ezra Taft Benson’s work. While I have plenty to disagree with in regards to political philosophy, I think that particular devotional address was precisely what students and faculty at Brigham Young University needed at the time. When ‘fundamentals’ are always brought up however, I think this one summarizes everything to the fullest extent.
“The fundamental principles of our religion are the testimony of the Apostles and Prophets, concerning Jesus Christ, that He died, was buried, and rose again the third day, and ascended into heaven; and all other things which pertain to our religion are only appendages to it.”
(Joseph Smith–History of the Church, 3:30)
