Upcoming Evangelical Events with LDS Focus

1.  Compassionate Boldness Conference this weekend at the Calvary Chapel in Salt Lake.  Special mention:  Mike Ghiglia from Idaho Falls is one of the speakers.

2.  TILM‘s 2011 Campaign Kickoff Event, “Sharing Christ with Mormons” at the Red Lion Inn, Saturday, October 29th, 7 p.m.,  in Pocatello, Idaho.  Michael and Lynn Wilder are the featured speakers for this theme – “Unveiled Grace, An ex-Mormon’s Journey to the Christian faith.”  Mark Cares notes, “Pocatello is the first step to invite one million Mormons to hear the gospel by the end of 2013.  Come hear more about our vision.”  TILM had recently connected with a seminar at the Calvary Chapel in Pocatello.

  1. I am grateful for our evangelical Protestant brothers and sisters who love the Lord Jesus Christ and are eager to share their witness. I sincerely believe that you perform an essential preparatory work for us throughout the world. A love of Christ and his word, as found in the Bible, is indeed an essential prerequisite for recognizing and accepting his latter-day revelations.

Even those few who in ignorance attack the faith of the Latter-day Saints unwittingly do us a great service: http://newsroom.lds.org/article/christ-centered-faith

What Nephi wrote, some 600 years before the birth of the Savior, still holds for all sincere followers of Christ:

” . . . we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.” 2 Nephi 25:26 http://bit.ly/m3X396

And I share with you, of course, Christ’s univeral, eternal, and unique sotieriology, declared just before his Passion. When he comes “in his glory, and all the holy angels with him,” and sits “upon the throne of his glory,” this is the sole criterion by which he will adopt billions of the spirit children of our Heavenly Father, from all times, all places, and all religions as his own children in the flesh: “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” Matthew 25:31-46 http://bit.ly/r5jCts
