When I read the feature cover article for the National Geographic (February 2010) on “Polygamy in America“, here is the one statement that stood out to me.
LDS fundamentalist, Warren Jeffs, wrote this in his journal:
The Lord directed that I go to the sun tanning salon and get sun tanned more evenly on their sun tanning beds.

There are an estimated 38,000 Mormon fundamentalists (mostly here in the West).
Its interesting how people around the world believe that Mormons are Amish, just because of the Harrison Ford movie “Witness.” Many of you who served foreign missions will know what I mean.
There are some pretty interesting image issues out there.
