“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist” (Colossians 1:15-17).

The eternal Son of God created everything.  He created you and me.  Every molecule in our physical bodies is held together by His power.  Thank you, Jesus!

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (Jn. 1:1). “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth” (Jn. 1:14).

God the Son came to this earth. Born as a baby, He dwelt among us. Through the incarnate Word, we can be in God’s presence.  See God.  Touch God.  Thank you, Jesus!

“And Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life. He who comes to me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst’” (John 6:35). “I am the bread which came down from heaven” (John 6:41).

Jesus went to the top of a mountain, sat down with his disciples, and fed 5,000 people. But then he told his disciples that even more than physical bread, they need Him who is the spiritual bread for their souls and our souls.  Thank you, Jesus!

“Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk I darkness, but have the light of life’” (John 8:12)

Jesus is the one who steps into our darkness, draws us out, and brings us into His marvelous light.  Thank you, Jesus!

“Then Jesus said to them again, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture’” (John 10:7-9).

There is only one door for the sheep.  He is the open door, the right door, and the safe door. Thank you, Jesus!

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep” (John 10:11). “I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice: and there will be one flock and one shepherd” (John 10:14-16).

Our Lord is the Good Shepherd, the Great Shepherd, and the Chief Shepherd in the city of Idaho Falls.  In His love, power, and wisdom, He knows exactly what to do in the care of all His sheep. Thank you, Jesus!

“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die’” (John 11:25).

The King has conquered death. We do not need to fear death. For us, death is only the entrance to our standing and serving in His presence forever.  Thank you, Jesus!

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me’” (John 14:6).

In a world of conflicting opinions and perils, the Savior will never lead us astray.  And He is the gateway and the only way to the Father in heaven. Thank you, Jesus!

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser” (John 15:1). “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5).

To be connected to Jesus brings nourishment, growth, and fruit. Without the Lord, we would all shrivel up.  Thank you, Jesus!

“But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus” (Romans 3:21-26).

We are justified by His grace.  We are redeemed through Jesus. There is propitiation by His blood.  Thank you, Jesus!

“Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,” (I Corinthians 15:1-3).

He died for our sins.  He was buried.  And three days later, he rose again from the grave!  Hallelujah! Thank you, Jesus!

The apostle John wrote in Revelation 1:5-8, “and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth.  To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.  Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. ‘I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the End,’ says the Lord, ‘who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.’”

The King is coming again.  Thank you, Jesus!

Jesus is our good Providence.  Jesus is our Temple, the meeting place between heaven and earth and the Father and sinners. Jesus is our hope. In Christ, there is the Church of God. Jesus is the Messiah for the Jewish nation and all the nations of the earth.  Jesus is the outpouring of truth and grace that continually falls in our city.  Jesus is the steps to joy.  Jesus is our Rescue.  He is our Recovery.  He is our Restoration.  He is the King of our hearts.  Thank you, Jesus!
