We are studying John 13. Every time I open the scriptures to this passage, I am overwhelmed by the Lord of all who completely emptied himself for us. What a buffoon I am whenever I pridefully assert my right, my will, and my way. (more…)

Praying for the Anti-Mormons

A Nice Weekend in Idaho Falls
Last Friday, we sponsored Ammon Antics at the church building. Gobs of fun. Gobs of candy.
Ventriloquism, Pinatas, Game Booths, and a Big Jumpland.
On Saturday, we had a men’s prayer breakfast. Some of the guys joined us for our study in the book, The Deliberate Church by Mark Dever.
During Saturday afternoon, we had a youth activity, “Where’s Waldo” at the mall.
Saturday evening, I popped into the inductive Bible study in Ephesians and listened to Peter Delacey on the latter part of Ephesians 1 and the beginning of chapter 2. Rich doctrine.
To my conservative LDS friends

For one particular reformer, his 500th birthday will be in 2009. It is amazing how time flies.

With his wife receiving a doctorate in missiology, I would ask her if this is the only way to do missions in America in 2008.
Confrontation is not acceptable? It doesn’t work?
